PowerSorb™ 1577 is an ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) of the benzophenone class. It is effective in polyolefins, including low and high density polyethylene, olefin copolymers (EPR, EPDM, EVA), polypropylene, and other polymers including polyvinyl chloride, polyesters, natural and synthetic resins, polystyrene and ABS.

PowerSorb™ 1577 is a new class of chemical UV absorbers exhibiting very low volatility and good compatibility with a variety of polymers, resin compositions and co-additives. This triazine UV absorber allows polycarbonates and polyesters to achieve a higher resistance to weathering than conventional UV Absorbers.
