This hindered phenol antioxidant can also be used to passivate metal salts. In the plastic industry, antioxidant 2246 can prevent thermal and light aging in materials such as chlorinated polyether, high impact polystyrene, ABS resin, polyformaldehyde, and cellulose resin.
